Situated in Bourton on the borders of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, Bullpits Golf Club is home to a delightful 18 hole short challenging course. It was established around 25 years ago in wooded parkland and on the valley sides of the River Stour and boasts bubbling springs and picturesque ravines and leats in historic surroundings.
Don’t take our word for it – here’s what others say:
What a hidden gem!! We have come up to Gasper in Wiltshire to visit family for the weekend and as a keen golfer myself I was taken to Bullpits yesterday for 9 holes in the glorious sunshine. I wasn’t expecting too much from a short hole course but I was blown away by it. Although its mainly a par 3 course with a couple of par 4s thrown in it is quite a tricky and challenging little course but my word.. Its beautiful!! The views, scenery, lakes and waterfalls were breathtaking. Also the fact its all run on an honesty basis was very humbling. Will revisit here every time we come back up from Bournemouth. My visit to bullpits made a wonderful weekend even better.. Thank you.. Tim
Bullpits is a really enchanting course, in a truly delightful setting. It is almost worth visiting for the setting alone. It may be claimed it is a short course with little call for your drivers – but don’t let that lull you into thinking it won’t be challenging. The course design will test anyone’s short game, and the lightening fast greens take some reading.Above all with its friendly atmosphere everyone – from the new-to-golf player to the experienced golfer – will have great fun playing this course.
Have played here a few times this year and haven’t found the course wet but then we have had great weather. It’s a very tricky course requiring accurate shot. I’m not a big hitter but if you were you wouldn’t need a driver! It’s great if you’re a bit unsure as its like playing on a private course, 4 other people playing last time I went mid week in May and absolutely gorgeous views wherever you look. New green keeper who has made great improvements since February. Well worth a visit, excellent value for money and friendly people running it.
