From the A303 going west towards Exeter

There are 3 signs for MERE then the next turnoff will be Frome/Gillingham as major signposts and Zeals/Bourton as local signs along with Stourhead Gardens (Nat Trust) Take this exit

At the junction turn right and proceed underneath the A303 bridge Take the first left immediately after the bridge which is signed Zeals/Bourton Continue straight on IGNORE the left turn which takes you back onto the A303

Go through the village of Zeals passing a pub (The Bell & Crown) on your left and a petrol station on your right

You will then be in Bourton – the 2 villages join up

Continue along the road until you have passed a sign to Gillingham on your left

At the bottom of the hill go right into Bridge Street following signs for Bullpits Golf Club

Follow the road round past a derelict factory and up the hill.

Half way up the hill there is a turn to the left sign posted Bullpits Golf Club

Drive in and follow the road keeping left for the house or right for the golf club

From Shaftesbury

Follow directions to Gillingham

Proceed straight through Gillingham following signs for Mere, Milton and Bourton

In Milton turn left at the Milton Lodge Hotel following signs for Bourton

In the village of Bourton you will arrive at a T junction

Turn left and go down the hill

At the bottom of the hill and BEFORE the Texaco garage take the right hand turn into Bridge Street which is signposted Bullpits Golf Club

Follow the road round past a derelict factory and up the hill

Half way up the hill there is a turn to the left sign posted Bullpits Golf Club

Drive in and follow the road keeping left for the house or right for the golf club

From the A303 going east towards London

After passing Wincanton turn offs proceed for a couple of miles and go up the hill

Look for main signs for Shaftesbury/Wincanton and local signs saying Penselwood

The turn off is at the top of the hill signposted the A3081

Turn right following signs into the village

Pass the church on your right and continue past the garage also on the right

Immediately after the garage turn left into Bridge Street

Follow the road round past a derelict factory and up the hill.

Half way up the hill there is a turn to the left sign posted Bullpits Golf Club

Drive in and follow the road keeping left for the house or right for the golf club
